Project Overview
Sportwing Automotive has been one of my longest-running and most hands-on professional projects, beginning in 2008. My work has covered nearly every part of the brand’s digital presence and ecommerce operation, from building and managing Sportwing.com to creating graphics, developing product presentation assets, editing product imagery, organizing large catalogs, supporting advertising, managing marketplace channels, and helping structure the systems behind the business.
Scope of Work
The project grew far beyond a traditional website build. Over time, the Sportwing catalog included more than 12,000 products, with approximately 1,715 active products today. My responsibilities included website design and development, product listing, product data entry, product image creation, catalog organization, ecommerce merchandising, organic SEO, paid search, Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Meta advertising, TikTok and Instagram advertising, email newsletters, CRO improvements, trade show coordination, trademark support, sales support, and ongoing operational organization.
Ecommerce & Product Management
A major part of the project was building and maintaining the ecommerce foundation behind the brand. This included listing products on the Sportwing website, organizing product data, managing fitment-heavy automotive catalog information, editing and compositing product images, and helping make product pages clearer, cleaner, and easier for customers to shop.
Advertising & Growth
I supported both organic and paid growth across SEO, Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Meta, TikTok, Instagram, and other digital channels. Google Ads performance improved significantly over time, moving from more than $50 per conversion at the start to approximately $15 per conversion, while ongoing creative, data, and CRO work continued to support visibility and sales.
Marketplaces, Trade Shows & Operations
My involvement also included managing and supporting marketplace channels including eBay, Walmart, and Amazon storefronts, creating e-newsletters, coordinating trade show efforts for SEMA and other events, assisting with trademark-related work, supporting sales, and organizing infrastructure, data, and workflows behind the scenes.
Impact
The work helped transform Sportwing’s online presence from a massive product catalog into a more organized ecommerce and marketing ecosystem. The project combined design, product management, advertising, marketplace support, and digital operations into one long-term effort focused on making the brand easier to shop, easier to understand, and stronger online.
